Guyana launched the Guyana Digital School (GDS) on December 5, 2025, offering a digital, CSEC-aligned curriculum to over 20,000 students across Guyana and the CARICOM region.
The platform, accessible via digitalschool.moe.edu.gy, supports Grades 10 and 11 with AI-enhanced, interactive classes and digital textbooks, aiming to improve access for remote and underserved students.
Designed to complement traditional schooling, the GDS strengthens educational resilience, enabling continuity after disasters and addressing gaps exposed by the pandemic.
Expansion to Grades 7–9 is planned for early 2026, with regional leaders expressing interest in adopting the model.
