Gene Simmons testifies before Senate to support fair pay for artists on radio.
Gene Simmons, KISS co-founder and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, is testifying before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee’s Intellectual Property Subcommittee in support of the bipartisan American Music Fairness Act, which would require radio stations to pay recording artists when their music is played.
The legislation aims to ensure fair compensation for musicians, a cause Simmons strongly advocates.
His testimony comes ahead of the KISS bandmates receiving the Kennedy Center Honors, set for broadcast on CBS on December 23.
