Since 2016, drink driving has been linked to 1,503 injury collisions in Essex, including 33 fatal crashes and 593 serious injuries.
Police emphasize that enforcement will remain strict during the holidays, and the public is urged to call 999 or report online if they suspect someone is about to drive under the influence.
