SoftBank’s Arm and South Korea have signed a deal to create a chip design school training 1,400 specialists, aiming to strengthen the nation’s semiconductor and AI sectors.
The move supports South Korea’s goal to become a top-three global AI power.
SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, who met with President Lee Jae Myung, stressed that artificial superintelligence is inevitable and urged South Korea to expand data centers and energy supplies.
