Singapore East-West Line commuters face up to 17-minute delays due to track testing, with full service resuming Dec. 9.
Commuters on Singapore’s East-West Line may face up to 17-minute waits at Bedok and Kembangan stations due to final testing of new tracks linking the line to the East Coast Integrated Depot.
Since November 29, service has been suspended between Bedok and Tampines, and Tanah Merah and Expo, with shuttle buses provided.
One platform at each station is closed for testing, and train frequencies are reduced.
The LTA says retesting of power systems and signals, along with slower speeds, is causing delays.
Full service is expected to resume December 9, with a new eastbound platform at Tanah Merah activated for Pasir Ris-bound trains.
Westbound services to Tuas Link remain unaffected.
