New Zealand police recovered a $19,000 James Bond-inspired Fabergé pendant swallowed by a suspect after a six-day wait.
New Zealand police recovered a rare, James Bond-inspired Fabergé pendant from a 32-year-old man accused of stealing and swallowing it after a six-day wait. The pendant, valued at $19,000 and inspired by the 1983 film "Octopussy," is one of only 50 ever made, featuring gold, green enamel, 183 diamonds, and a detailed octopus centerpiece. Arrested on November 28 at Auckland’s Partridge Jewelers, the suspect was monitored around the clock and the pendant was naturally expelled without medical intervention. It was recovered on December 4, still intact with its chain and price tag. He remains in custody and is scheduled for a court appearance on December 8, having not entered a plea.
