A new roll-on/roll-off terminal at Dighi Port in Maharashtra, developed by Adani Ports and Motherson’s joint venture SAMRX, will handle up to 200,000 vehicles annually.
The facility, designed to support India’s “Make in India” initiative, will streamline vehicle exports from the Mumbai-Pune region with end-to-end logistics, including AI-driven yard management, pre-delivery inspections, EV charging, and real-time tracking.
Located on a 1.3-kilometer RoRo-ready jetty with all-weather operations, it will improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs for automakers.
The project enhances India’s global automotive export capabilities and is part of APSEZ’s broader goal to reach one billion tonnes of cargo handling by 2030.
