Idaho students won a contest to name snowplows, with prizes for their classrooms.
The Idaho Transportation Department has named 12 winning snowplow names from students across the state, with entries from sixth to 12th grade classrooms.
Names like "Blizzard Basher," "Betty WhiteOut," and "Fast&Flurryous" will be displayed on plows in regions including North Idaho, South-Central, and East Idaho.
Each winning classroom will receive an educational visit from ITD staff to learn about snowplow operations and winter driving safety.
The contest, now in its second year, aims to strengthen community ties and highlight the critical role of winter road maintenance crews.
