The Global Tourism Economy Forum 2025 will be held Dec. 15–17 in Harbin, China—the first time the event, established in 2012, is hosted outside Macao.
Over 1,000 participants from 30+ countries and regions, including UN Tourism officials, government ministers, and business leaders, will attend under the theme “New Quality Productive Forces: Powering the Global Tourism Economy.” The forum will focus on ice-snow tourism, cultural branding, investment, and cross-border collaboration, featuring keynote speeches, roundtables, and an investment session.
Harbin’s tourism sector saw strong growth in 2024, with 282 million visitors and a 67.1% rise in revenue, driven by year-round promotion and a surge in international arrivals and spending.
