Future Fuels Inc. has started the permitting process for drilling at its Hornby Basin Uranium Project in northwestern Nunavut, planning a summer 2026 exploration program with up to 10,000 meters of diamond drilling, geological surveys, and a seasonal 25-person camp near Mountain Lake.
Drill sites will undergo archaeological review and must be approved by the Nunavut Water Board and Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada before any ground work.
The project lies outside a regional land use plan.
The company also increased its marketing budget by 155,000 euros for online services through December 2025, with no securities issued.
The Hornby Project covers 3,407 km² with over 40 underexplored uranium showings, and the company holds the Covette Project in Quebec.
