Chinese car brands surged in Australia’s new-car market in November 2025, with Leapmotor becoming Stellantis’ top-selling passenger brand, selling 90 C10 and B10 electric SUVs. Zeekr outsold Volvo, posting 727 units, while BYD and Chery saw year-on-year growth of 144.2% and 105.3%. MG, Great Wall, and BYD now rank in Australia’s top 10 best-selling brands. China’s share of new-car imports rose to nearly 20%, trailing only Thailand by 698 vehicles, with Chinese-made vehicle sales up 31% compared to November 2024, while Thai imports fell 7.1%.
