Apple Watch now detects hypertension risk using pulse data, alerting users to seek medical care.
Apple has launched a new hypertension detection feature on the Apple Watch, available in over 150 countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and India, starting December 3, 2025.
Using optical heart sensors and machine learning, the watch analyzes pulse waveform data over 30 days to identify patterns linked to high blood pressure, sending alerts if sustained risk is detected.
The feature, available on Series 9 and later models, does not measure blood pressure directly but aims to prompt users to seek medical evaluation.
It is part of Apple’s effort to support early detection of silent hypertension, which affects millions globally and often goes undiagnosed.
