A 16-year-old in Saskatoon was arrested after spraying bear spray on a cop and police dog during a chase, leading to her being tased and bitten.

A 16-year-old girl was arrested in Saskatoon early Tuesday after allegedly spraying bear spray at a police officer and a police dog during a pursuit that began around 2:30 a.m. The teen fled on foot after being seen spraying a man, prompting a canine unit to chase her. She sprayed both the officer and the dog multiple times, causing them to be affected. Officers used a conducted-energy weapon and the dog to apprehend her, during which she kicked the dog in the head. She was taken to hospital with a dog bite and gave a false identity. She faces multiple charges, including assault with a weapon and injuring a law enforcement animal.
