Scott Tingle named NASA's new Astronaut Office chief, succeeding Joe Acaba.
NASA has named Scott Tingle, a former U.S. Navy captain and veteran astronaut, as Chief of the Astronaut Office at Johnson Space Center, effective November 10, 2025.
Tingle, selected in 2009, brings over 4,500 flight hours and experience as a flight engineer on the International Space Station.
He will oversee astronaut operations, crew assignments, and procedures for future missions, including Artemis.
