A Michigan man sued Walmart, saying its failure to act on warning signs led to a 33-minute stabbing attack that left him severely injured.
A civil lawsuit filed by Aaron Boudot, a victim of the July 26, 2025, Walmart stabbing in Garfield Township, Michigan, alleges the store failed to act on warning signs before a 33-minute attack that left 11 injured.
Boudot, who lost nearly three quarts of blood and permanently lost use of his right arm, claims Walmart ignored suspicious behavior by suspect Bradford Gille, including aimless wandering and carrying a large bag, despite its own safety policies.
The lawsuit, filed by Morgan & Morgan, asserts the store’s lack of security personnel and inaction made the attack foreseeable.
Walmart said safety is a priority and will respond in court.
Gille, charged with attempted murder and terrorism, was deemed incompetent to stand trial by October 2025.
