A London man was jailed for 26 weeks after sexually assaulting a woman on a crowded Central line train in October 2024.
Jatinder Singh, also known as Vicky Singh Sangha, was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison for sexually assaulting a woman on a crowded Central line train leaving Liverpool Street station in London on October 2, 2024.
The attack occurred just after 8:20 a.m. on a packed westbound service.
The victim reported the incident by texting British Transport Police on 61016, leading to Singh’s arrest days later outside Kings Cross station.
At London Inner Crown Court, he pleaded guilty to sexual assault and was ordered to pay a £187 surcharge and register with police for 10 years.
Authorities praised the victim’s bravery and continue urging the public to report sexual offenses on rail networks via 61016.
