Eve Air Mobility selects BETA Technologies to supply electric motors for its eVTOL aircraft, advancing commercial launch plans.
Eve Air Mobility has chosen BETA Technologies to supply electric pusher motors for its eVTOL aircraft, a move advancing its path toward commercial service. The multi-year agreement, worth up to $1 billion, supports Eve’s 2,800-aircraft backlog and follows successful testing of BETA’s motors in prototype flights. The eVTOL uses a lift-plus-cruise design with eight lift propellers and dual pusher motors for redundancy, efficiency, and reduced noise. The first flight is expected late 2025 or early 2026.
