No. 4 Duke edged No. 15 Florida 67-66 in the ACC/SEC Challenge, extending its unbeaten start to 9-0. Isaiah Evans hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 19.7 seconds left, overcoming an earlier 0-for-7 shooting night from deep. Cameron Boozer led all scorers with 29 points, while Evans added 13 points and a career-high five blocks. Florida, the defending national champions, overcame a 12-point halftime deficit, outrebounding Duke 44-33 and scoring 13 second-chance points. Boogie Fland tied the game with a 3-pointer with 34.6 seconds left, but Maliq Brown tipped away Thomas Haugh’s inbounds heave with 1.4 seconds remaining. The win marked Duke’s first nonconference game against a reigning national champion since 1996.
