Chicago-area police officer Radule Bojovic, a Montenegro native, has returned to duty after being detained by ICE in October during Operation Midway Blitz, a federal immigration enforcement operation. Arrested on suspicion of overstaying a tourist visa, Bojovic was released on bond and cleared by the Hanover Park Police Department, which confirmed he had valid work authorization and passed background checks. He will receive back pay and remains federally authorized to work. The operation, launched in September under President Trump, has led to over 4,200 arrests in the Chicago area, with most detainees having no criminal records.
