A 33-unit supportive housing project broke ground in London’s SoHo on Nov. 25, 2025, with completion expected by late 2026.
Construction began November 25, 2025, on a 33-unit supportive housing project at 250 Hill St. in London’s SoHo neighborhood, led by CMHA Thames Valley and partners including city hall and Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp.
The four-story building, set for completion by late 2026, will provide fully furnished, including seven accessible units, with on-site support services for individuals facing homelessness, mental health, and addiction challenges.
A $5 million contribution from the London Community Foundation’s Fund for Change will also fund a future 82-unit project at 644–646 Huron St., with construction starting in early 2026 and opening by winter 2027.
The Fund for Change, now totaling $37.6 million, was seeded by a $25 million anonymous gift and matched by $6.3 million in community contributions.
Officials stressed collaboration and proactive housing solutions to reduce strain on local services.
