SpaceX has received approval from the Department of the Air Force to build Starship launch pads at Cape Canaveral’s Space Launch Complex 37, enabling future launches and landings from Florida.
The decision, based on a completed environmental review, allows construction of up to two launch towers and supports national security and civil missions.
Work has already begun, with potential for up to 76 launches and 152 landings annually at the site.
Combined with launches at Kennedy Space Center, Florida could see up to 120 launches and 240 landings per year.
