An anonymous Washington state donor has pledged over $50 million to cover tuition for senior medical laboratory science students at the University of Washington for the next 50 years, providing $8,000 to $10,000 per student for clinical rotations.
The gift, announced by Dr. Tim Dellit, dean of the School of Medicine, will also expand the program from 70 to 100 students.
