UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed the naming of seven new mosques in Abu Dhabi after the country’s seven emirates to mark the 54th Eid Al Etihad, symbolizing national unity.
The mosques, set to open in January 2026, cover about 12,000 square meters and will accommodate roughly 6,000 worshippers.
Designed with a modern style blending Islamic heritage and contemporary innovation, they were developed through collaboration among the Presidential Court, the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, and the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport.
