Perodua has unveiled its first electric vehicle, the QV-E, a sportback developed under Malaysia’s national EV initiative, with a launch scheduled for December 1, 2025.
Priced at RM80,000 without the battery, the vehicle features a Battery-as-a-Service model, leasing the battery for RM275 monthly.
Built on a proprietary platform with global components, it offers a 445 km NEDC range, 0-100 km/h acceleration in 7.5 seconds, and a 6-year vehicle warranty.
The launch marks a milestone in Malaysia’s push for local EV innovation, supported by government backing and local supplier involvement.
