As of December 1, 2025, Mongolia reports 424 people living with HIV or AIDS, with 36 new cases identified in the first 11 months of the year.
Most cases are among those aged 20 to 44, and nearly all infections—99.7%—are due to sexual transmission.
Since the first case in 1992, 71 deaths have been attributed to AIDS in a population of about 3.5 million.
The data was released ahead of World AIDS Day.
