A Delhi court has ordered 14 days of judicial custody for Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, founder of Al Falah University, in a money laundering case linked to alleged terror financing.
Siddiqui, already in Enforcement Directorate custody since November 19, was remanded until December 15 after the ED alleged the university falsely claimed UGC and NAAC recognition, generating ₹415.10 crore in revenue from 2018 to 2025 through deceptive practices.
Authorities say funds were diverted for personal use, with searches at 19 locations uncovering ₹48 lakh in cash.
The court allowed Siddiqui access to medication and spectacles but denied books.
The case is set for further hearing on December 15.
