VHP condemns Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind chief's remarks on jihad and judiciary as inciting and dangerous.
VHP spokesperson Vinod Bansal condemned Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind chief Maulana Mahmood Madani’s remarks on the judiciary and jihad, calling them inciting and dangerous.
Bansal accused Madani of misleading Muslim youth, promoting hostility, and indirectly supporting terrorism by referencing jihad against oppression.
He challenged Madani’s characterization of non-Muslims as “murda” and criticized his views on judicial independence, citing past rulings.
Madani, speaking in Bhopal, said jihad means striving against injustice, not violence, and rejected misuse of terms like “Love jihad.” Bansal demanded action against Madani, urging the Muslim community to reject such leadership, while others, including BJP and Hindu leaders, labeled the comments as threatening national unity.
