Rajasthan mandates 15% women drivers on ride-hail apps within six months, with female passenger priority and new safety rules.
The Rajasthan High Court has ordered the state government to ensure ride-hailing platforms have at least 15% women drivers within six months, aiming for 25% within two to three years, and to allow women passengers to prioritize female drivers.
The directive, part of a 35-point order, also mandates the creation of a Rajasthan Cyber Crime Control Centre, stricter SIM and bank account regulations, and requirements for gig workers to register, wear uniforms, carry QR-coded ID cards, and use commercial number plates starting February 1, 2026.
