Strictly Come Dancing introduced its first-ever Instant Dance challenge, with the six remaining couples randomly selecting a previously learned dance style, changing costumes, and performing within 10 seconds of hearing the music. The challenge, prompted by drag artist La Voix’s injury and the absence of eliminations the prior week, carried over scores and votes. Judges ranked performances and awarded up to six extra points, with Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, and Karen Carney and Carlos Gu, tying for the highest score of 40. Public voting is now exclusively online via BBC’s platform, requiring a BBC account.
