Miles Scott made two critical interceptions in the final five minutes to help Illinois beat Northwestern 20-13 in snowy Champaign, securing the Illini’s eighth win and bowl eligibility for the second straight year—the first time since 2010-11. Illinois led 14-10 at halftime, added six more points in the second half via field goals by David Olano, and held on despite Northwestern’s late push, including a 26-yard field goal. Luke Altmyer passed for 136 yards in his final home game, while Ca’Lil Valentine rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown.
