A man in his late 20s or early 30s died in a fatal crash Friday night on a south Harris County road when an Amazon delivery truck allegedly ran a red light, striking a sedan.
The crash occurred around 11 p.m. at an intersection off Highway 288 and the South Beltway.
Dash cam footage showed the light was red, contradicting the truck driver’s claim of seeing yellow.
The sedan’s driver, not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and died at the scene.
The truck driver showed no signs of intoxication and has not been charged.
Amazon has not responded to requests for comment.
