A 12-foot Kermit-as-Chaplin statue is moving from LA to Atlanta’s Puppetry Arts center to honor Jim Henson’s legacy.
A 12-foot statue of Kermit the Frog as Charlie Chaplin’s Tramp is being moved from The Jim Henson Company’s Hollywood headquarters to Atlanta’s Center for Puppetry Arts, following a gift from the Henson family.
The sculpture, installed in 2000, will relocate as the company shifts its main office to Studio City, California.
The Center for Puppetry Arts, which houses the world’s largest collection of Jim Henson artifacts, will preserve the statue as a symbol of creativity and storytelling.
While the exact arrival date is pending, the move marks a key moment in honoring Henson’s legacy.
