Five-star receiver Easton Royal committed to Texas, becoming the first in their 2027 class.

Five-star wide receiver Easton Royal, a 2027 prospect from New Orleans, has committed to the University of Texas, becoming the first recruit in the Longhorns’ 2027 class. Ranked as the No. 3 receiver and No. 12 overall player nationally by 247Sports, Royal chose Texas over Power 4 schools including LSU, Ole Miss, and Oregon. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound athlete recorded 53 catches for 1,151 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2024 and was present at Texas’ 27-17 win over No. 3 Texas A&M. Texas’ 2026 class remains ranked No. 8 nationally.
