China and Serbia strengthened culinary and trade ties at the 2025 Belgrade Wine Vision fair, with Chinese wines and dishes drawing strong interest.
The 2025 Belgrade Wine Vision fair, held November 22–25, highlighted growing culinary and trade ties between China and Serbia, drawing 535 exhibitors from 34 countries and earning UFI Approved status. For the first time, China’s Alcoholic Drinks Association led a national pavilion with 14 exhibitors showcasing traditional Chinese alcoholic beverages, while chefs from Xiamen presented Fujian-style dishes like taro paste and Shacha sauce, blending Eastern techniques with Serbian ingredients such as truffles. Fusion dishes including crystal jellyfish terrine and truffle-stuffed chicken rolls drew strong interest, and Chinese winemaker Yang Fan reported nearly sold-out samples. Serbian organizers noted rising consumer demand for Chinese drinks, while Chinese participants expressed optimism about expanding market access and cultural exchange, with plans to return in 2026.
