Carlisle man returned to prison for violating sex offender registration by using fake online dating profile.
Peter Raymond Davies, 47, a Carlisle sex offender, has been returned to prison after admitting he failed to report an online dating account, violating his registration terms. He was previously convicted in July for attempting to incite a child to sexual activity and engaging in sexual communication with a minor, receiving a two-year, four-month sentence and a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order. Police discovered the account in March after a child abuse activist group reported him; Davies had been communicating sexually with a decoy profile he believed was a 14-year-old girl. At Rickergate Court, District Judge Philip Holden recalled him to serve the remainder of his 20-month sentence, now extending to November 2026, and added a two-week jail term that cannot run consecutively. The judge warned future violations would lead to longer prison terms.
