The Saturday event, attended by about 60 family and close friends including cabinet ministers, featured self-written vows, a flower girl, and Albanese’s dog as ring bearer. Haydon wore a custom dress by Romance Was Born, and the couple danced to Frank Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight.” They had been engaged since Valentine’s Day 2024 and postponed a larger wedding due to concerns during the cost of living crisis. The newlyweds will begin a five-day honeymoon within Australia.
