A UK doctor survives pancreatic cancer after treatment and urges early medical help for symptoms.
Dr. Charles Cowen, a Devizes GP, is raising awareness of pancreatic cancer after being diagnosed in November 2024 due to symptoms like fatigue and bowel changes.
He completed chemotherapy and surgery to remove part of his pancreas, spleen, and lymph nodes, and by August 2025, scans showed no remaining cancer.
Now on a gradual return to work, he credits his care teams at Royal United Hospitals Bath and Bristol Royal Infirmary and plans to visit his daughter in New Zealand, possibly skydiving for a charity.
He urges others to seek medical advice for persistent health concerns.
