The NASA-ISRO NISAR satellite, launched July 30, 2025, has successfully deployed its 12-meter antenna and entered its science phase, with operations managed by ISRO and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Since August 19, the satellite’s S-Band radar has captured high-resolution images, including the Godavari River Delta, clearly showing vegetation types like mangroves and farmland. The mission’s S-Band and L-Band radar systems are now active, enabling all-weather Earth observation for climate, disaster, and environmental monitoring.
