A man sentenced to 20 weeks for stalking Hampshire’s PCC, citing harassment, fake warrants, and no remorse.
A 59-year-old man from Southsea, Robert Hood, was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison for stalking Donna Jones, Hampshire and Isle of Wight’s Police and Crime Commissioner.
The court heard he carried out a prolonged harassment campaign, including sharing her personal details, presenting falsified arrest warrants, and attempting to manipulate others.
Judge Tanweer Ikram cited Hood’s lack of remorse, prior criminal record, and the serious impact on Jones and her staff.
Jones welcomed the sentence as a message that such targeting of public officials will not be tolerated.
