The victory fulfills a promise to her father, who sacrificed savings and took loans to fund her training after a 2022-23 international gymnastics event was canceled due to fraud.
A third-year BPES student at Guru Nanak Dev University, Yadav, a multi-medalist with previous KIUG and international accolades, credits the Khelo India stipend for easing competition costs.
She now aims to qualify for the Junior National trials.
