Indian actor Anupam Kher says he’s excluded from industry roundtables despite his 500+ film career, blaming bias against him.
Veteran Indian actor Anupam Kher, with over four decades in Hindi cinema and more than 500 film credits, said in a November 2025 YouTube interview he has never been invited to year-end industry roundtable discussions despite his extensive career.
He expressed frustration, claiming media and industry figures consistently exclude him in favor of what he calls "mediocre" actors, asserting he is the "father" of acting in India.
Kher, who starred in and directed the 2025 film *Tanvi The Great*, which premiered at the International Film Festival of India, said the exclusion stings but emphasized self-worth should not rely on external validation.
