India released its Constitution in nine additional languages on Constitution Day, promoting linguistic inclusivity.
On November 27, President Droupadi Murmu released the Indian Constitution in nine Eighth Schedule languages, including Nepali, during the 76th Constitution Day celebrations.
The initiative, part of the theme "Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhiman," aims to promote inclusivity and linguistic diversity.
Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang praised the move, highlighting the recognition of Sikkim and expressing gratitude to President Murmu and Prime Minister Modi.
The event, held at Samvidhan Sadan, underscored the Constitution’s role in guiding India’s democracy and reinforced the national commitment to justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.
Constitution Day is observed annually on November 26 since 2015.
