India digitizes 25M+ historical records from leaders and organizations for global researchers.
The Prime Ministers' Museum and Library in New Delhi has launched a digitization project, making over 25 million historical records from more than 1,300 individuals and organizations accessible remotely.
Supported by the Ministry of Culture, the initiative preserves fragile documents like speeches and diaries and allows registered researchers worldwide to request digital access via a secure online platform, with materials viewable only on desktop.
The effort enhances global access to Modern and Contemporary Indian History resources without requiring physical visits, promoting research and long-term preservation.
