A China-Egypt poultry project in Egypt’s Menoufia Governorate is helping 100 rural women boost incomes by providing chicks, feed, medicine, and training, enabling some to earn up to 10,000 Egyptian pounds in 45 days—covering nearly two months of household expenses.
Launched by the Chinese Embassy, Egypt’s National Alliance for Civil Development Work, and Chinese firm New Hope Liuhe, the initiative supports sustainable farming and women’s economic empowerment.
The program, aligned with Egypt’s “Decent Life” strategy and China’s rural development model, may expand to 70 villages ahead of the 70th anniversary of China-Egypt diplomatic ties.
