flag Benjamin Dickerson pleaded guilty to assault and other charges linked to substance abuse, receiving a suspended sentence and strict conditions.

Benjamin Dickerson, 42, of Sudbury, pleaded guilty in September 2025 to five charges including forcible entry, assault, and breach of probation after a series of incidents tied to substance abuse. He was found in an unbooked Radisson Hotel room claiming ownership of the city, later assaulted a bartender and threw a bottle at a customer at the Frood Hotel, and spat in a police officer’s face in custody. Justice Malcolm McLeod sentenced him to a suspended sentence for 117 days served, one year of probation, a DNA order, and a five-year weapons ban, with conditions to avoid the two hotels and victims. He had failed to report to probation and a bail program. The Crown dropped additional charges after the plea.
