A 19-year-old dirt bike rider was airlifted to St George Hospital in Kogarah after a high-speed crash in Dimond Brothers Reserve near Horsley skate park on Friday morning, sustaining a head injury and suspected rib and pelvis fractures.
The teen, wearing a damaged helmet, reportedly flew through the park, hit two earth mounds, and somersaulted twice before landing heavily.
Emergency services, including a rescue helicopter, responded around 11:40 a.m., and a doctor aboard determined urgent hospital care was needed.
The rider was in serious but stable condition upon arrival.
