Kalesnikoff Lumber names Chris Kalesnikoff and Krystle Seed as new top leaders, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
Kalesnikoff Lumber, a forestry company with over 85 years of operation, is transitioning to its fourth generation of family leadership, with Chris Kalesnikoff set to become president and CEO and Krystle Seed named chief financial and strategic services officer, effective January 1, 2026.
Ken Kalesnikoff, the outgoing CEO, will remain on the company’s external advisory board, focusing on industry advocacy.
The company, which has evolved from a traditional sawmill into a leading North American mass timber producer, operates integrated facilities in South Slocan and Castlegar, including North America’s first modular mass timber plant.
Since 2020, it has completed more than 400 mass timber projects across schools, housing, and commercial buildings.
The company employs 375 people across British Columbia and continues to expand sustainable construction solutions.
