The Enforcement Directorate alleges that Javed Ahmed Siddiqui, chancellor of Al-Falah University, forged documents to illegally acquire land in Delhi by using the identities of deceased Hindu owners. The ED claims a 2004 General Power of Attorney was fabricated to transfer land to a trust linked to Siddiqui, despite the original owners dying decades earlier. The probe, linked to a November 10 car blast near the Red Fort, has led to Siddiqui’s arrest under the PMLA and 25 raids across Delhi targeting the university and associated shell companies. The investigation also centers on false claims of academic accreditation by the university.
