India and Indonesia are nearing a deal for Indonesia to purchase the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, with talks focused on pricing, phased procurement, and support, potentially worth $450 million.
If finalized, Indonesia would become the second country after the Philippines to operate the missile, marking a major milestone for India’s defence exports.
The discussions, held during the third India-Indonesia Defence Ministers’ Dialogue in New Delhi, included a missile model presentation and technical briefings.
Both nations also agreed to expand cooperation in maritime security, cyber resilience, joint exercises, defence medicine, and technology transfer, reinforcing their strategic partnership in the Indo-Pacific amid growing regional challenges.
