Brett Castein, a 37-year-old electrician from Chatham, Ontario, has become a professional cornhole player after rising through regional and provincial tournaments, earning a top-16 finish in pro-points to qualify for the American Cornhole League.
He began playing casually three years ago with family, later founding the NewEra Cornhole Club in Chatham and competing in national events, including winning singles and doubles titles at Niagara Falls in 2023.
Now playing for the Toronto Towers and Oktane Pro Team, he balances his schedule with his business, True North Electrical, and continues to promote the sport through local events and a current toy and pet food drive.
